Full lead crystal must contain above 30% lead oxide content in order to be considered full lead crystal. Austrian Swarovski Crystal contains approximately 32% lead. Swarovski Crystal Beads are machine faceted and made with full lead crystal. The facets have highly polished surfaces that create a brilliance and sparkle unmatched by other crystal beads. You may see the designation AB after some bead color descriptions. AB stands for Aurora Bourealis and is a rainbow iridescent coating that is chemically bonded to the outer surface of the bead. Because of it's popularity, more countries are now producing these type of beads and the term Bali beads refers to the style of bead. While Bali beads contain silver, they usually have less than 92.5 % silver content and therefore cannot be designated as Sterling Silver. It is constructed of 21 strands micro woven, stainless steel wires braided together and then nylon coated. This wire is light gray in color and extremely flexible and durable. The nylon coating offers a smooth touch against the skin. Elastic Bracelets where indicated are strung on elastic cord. The elastic is clear in color and .7mm in diameter. The elastic is strong and stretchy.
